ENGAGEMENT: Akkari-Willoughby

Jon and Judy Willoughby of Lake Nebagamon announce the engagement of their son, Jason Willoughby, to Alexandra Akkari, daughter of Austin and Paula Akkari of Burnsville, Minn.

The future bride, a 2007 graduate of Burnsville High School, graduated from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in 2010 with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. She is pursuing her master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota. She is employed as a concrete research project engineer for the Minnesota Department of Transportation.

The future groom, a 2005 graduate of Northwestern High School in Maple, graduated from the University of Minnesota-Duluth in 2009 with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He is completing his thesis work toward a master’s degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Minnesota. He is employed as a mechanical design engineer at Graco Inc. in Minneapolis.

A September wedding at the Calhoun Beach Club, Minneapolis, Minn., is planned.
