Sheboygan Co. teen returns from Colorado chaos

SHEBOYGAN, Wis. (AP) — A Sheboygan County teen caught up in the chaos at the Aurora, Colo., movie theater shooting says she's glad to be back home, but that the victims are weighing heavily on her heart.

Fifteen-year-old Katie Trakel was in the theater next door to the mass shooting in Aurora Friday. Trakel had gone to the midnight showing of "The Dark Knight Rises" with 11 friends from a conference she was attending. Trakel says they heard some pops and saw smoke before realizing a bullet had penetrated the wall and hit her friend seated two rows behind her.

Trakel says it was loud, chaotic and crazy as she and her friends ran to get out of the theater complex. She says the friend who was shot will be OK.

WISN-TV (http://bit.ly/MFnenS ) reports the Trakel family returned to Wisconsin late Monday night.
