Hissa named to All-Star team

Former Northwestern Tiger Donnie Hissa was recently chosen to play in the Inaugural Futures Collegiate Baseball League All-Star Game, scheduled for July 26 in Nashua, N.H.

Hissa, a right-handed pitcher, plays for the Seacoast Mavericks. He has a 1.86 ERA in seven starts for the Mavericks this summer with a 3-0 record. Hissa’s 29 strikeouts lead the team.

Hissa will begin his junior season at the University of Notre Dame this fall.
