Axel and Patsy Wiitala of Maple celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with an open house at the Maple Community Center 1-4 p.m. Saturday, July 21, hosted by their daughters and their families. All friends and family are welcome to attend and the couple requests no gifts.

Axel and Patsy (Kiiski) were married July 21, 1962, at Hope Lutheran Church in Oulu, Wis. They have two daughters, Lisa (Steve) Prell, Wausau, Wis., and Tina (David) Cardinal, Proctor, Minn. They also have three granddaughters, Jordyn Prell, Amber Prell and Payton Cardinal.
