The Superior Reds rallied from a 6-3 deficit to defeat Moose Lake 9-6 Thursday night at Morrie Arnovich Field.
Dylan Ramage picked up the win for the Reds, pitching 4 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing no hits with six strikeouts and three walks.
Ramage took over for Colton Yepma and Taylor Olson with two outs in the third inning. After getting out of the third inning, Ramage retired the side in order in the fourth inning and faced just 13 batters over the next three innings.
Taylor Olson led the Reds on offense with an RBI double and two RBI singles. Spencer Koskie added three singles; Jordan Hughes hit an RBI triple and singled; Clayton Yeazle had two hits; Trent Olson doubled; Tyler Long tripled and Ryan Myhre knocked in a run with a sac fly.
Cody Gerard had two singles and Brad Fossom doubled for Moose Lake.
Trailing 6-4 the Reds tied the game up when Nik Mattson walked and scored on Taylor Olson’s single in the fourth and Ryan Myhre reached on an error and scored on a passed ball in the fifth.
Superior’s winning and go-ahead runs came in the bottom of the sixth inning when Yeazle singled and scored on Taylor Olson’s double; Olson scored on Myhre’s sac fly; and Ramage, who walked, scored on Hughes’ triple.
The Reds play at Hibbing at 1 and 3 p.m. Saturday; host Esko at 1 p.m. Sunday; play at West Duluth at 5:30 p.m. Monday; and host Duluth Lakeview and Cloquet at 6 and 8 p.m. Tuesday, respectively.
