The sixth annual Imogene McGrath Memorial Library Wine Tasting begins at 6 p.m. Thursday in the Lake Nebagamon Auditorium, which is now air-conditioned.

The event features more than 25 wines supplied by Keyport Liquor and many appetizers including local cheeses and smoked fish. The cost to attend is $25 per person, with all proceeds earmarked for the library. Money raised from last year’s wine tasting event were used to build a new patio outside the building.

There will also be a silent auction featuring locally-inspired items, including a powder horn with carved scrimshaw of Lake Nebagamon by Allen Yoshimoto, a signed copy of former Camp Nebagamon camper Andy Cohen’s recently published book “Most Talkative,” quilts, wine, homemade wooden trays, birdhouses, signed copies of books by renown children’s author Sharon Creech and more.

Maureen McGrath is the chairman and the event is coordinated with Jerry Schnell of Keyport Liquor.
