Fond du Lac college hosts concert series

Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College announced the line-up of entertainment for the 2012 Hot Summer Nights Concert Series, a series of free concerts scheduled for the college’s outdoor-indoor amphitheater. The performances run 7-9 p.m. every Thursday through Aug. 2.

The performances run 7-9 p.m. every Thursday through Aug. 2. A special concert to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College is slated for Aug. 30.

All concerts are held rain or shine under the dome of the spectacular amphitheater.

Beginning around 6:15 p.m. each concert evening, the Chefs’ Marketplace Outdoor Grill Barbeque Wagon sells its food specialties.

Scheduled to appear during the Hot Summer Nights Concert Series 2012 are:

July 19: Caleb Hawley is a New York City and automobile-based singer-songwriter who is creating a buzz across pop, jazz and modern folk circles with his latest recording.

Thursday, July 26: Claudia Schmidt always hated categories, but she describes herself as a “creative noisemaker.”

Aug. 2: Rock-a-Billy Revue is known throughout the area as being the best at providing popular hit music, crazy antics, and crowd-pleasing fun.

Aug. 30: Six Appeal combines comedy, a vocal ensemble and a rock band.
