The networks of the Northland’s NewsCenter, in cooperation with WDIO/WIRT and WDSE TV broadcast a special flood relief telethon at 5 p.m. Thursday.

The telethon will be produced at the WDSE studios with personalities from each of the participating stations on hand to answer calls and man the live broadcast.

“Northlanders are known for their resilience and can-do attitudes,” said David Jensch, vice president and station manager. “They also are known for lending a helping hand whenever it’s needed; and it’s definitely needed now.”

Proceeds from this telethon will go to the United Way of Greater Duluth’s flood recovery fund.
