Academic honors

Justin Markon, son of Jennifer Larson of Maple and Matthew Markon of Poplar, earned a spot on the dean’s list for the 2012 spring semester at Saint John’s University. Markon is a first-year political science.

Hannah Knoll of Lake Nebagamon was a recipient of the Chancellor’s Award for the spring 2012 semester at the University of Wisconsin-Stout.

Melissa Hogfeldt of Poplar and Michael Fredericks of Superior are on the honor roll at the University of Wisconsin- Oshkosh.

Graduates

Alexandra Baillie of Brule; Nathan Charbonneau of Lake Nebagamon; and Niki Burger, Alexander Hagstrom, Sophia Johannesson, Ashlee Lepori, Spencer Newman, Jarred Peterson, Stanley Phillips, Andrew Radzak, Alexander Reich, Ashley Roske and Sara Sturzenegger of Superior graduated from the University of Minnesota Duluth this spring.

Bethany Nelson of Poplar, Daryl Thomas of South Range and Kelly Stipetich of Superior graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. Nelson graduated with highest honors and Stipetich graduated with honors.
