United Presbyterian Church of Superior holds its annual Summer Service Camp from Sunday to Wednesday. The camp is a good time to gather in service to the church, the community and the world. Each evening begins at 5:30 p.m. with a light supper at the church, 229 N. 28th St. E., and then people divide into teams to work on various projects.
Each evening there will be opportunities to engage in various clean-up and fix-up projects at the church or across the bridge to work at the Twin Ports Ministry to Seafarers — a chance to touch the lives of seafarers around the world. There are also opportunities to help people in our community affected by the flooding, or for whatever reason, who just need help with housework or yard work.
All necessary equipment and supplies are provided, so grab your work gloves and join in the fun of helping others.
The camp is free and open to people of all ages and backgrounds. For information, call (715) 392-4751.
