The Superior Police Department is investigating a robbery that occurred around 8 p.m. July 4.

Arby’s Restaurant at 3821 Tower Ave. had a white male ask for change for a $100. The employee gathered the smaller bills and had the change for one hundred in her hand. The employee observed the bill the suspect was trying to exchange was a counterfeit. The male then grabbed the cash from the employee’s hand and fled the store.

The suspect fled the scene in an older brown Chevy or GMC pickup truck. The suspect is described as a white male with a thin build, about 5-foot-8 with short strawberry blonde hair and missing a upper front tooth and a lower front tooth.

If anyone has information regarding this incident, contact the Superior Police Department by calling 911 or (715) 395-7234.

The police department would like to warn businesses to use caution when making change. Always get the bill first and verify it is not a counterfeit, Community Policing Officer Bonnie Beste said in a prepared statement.
