Youth Baseball Roundup - July 4

Two games were played recently in the Superior Babe Ruth League.

Yankees 7, Rangers 3

Matt Strum and Tyler Lehikoinen pitched for the winners, allowing two hits with seven strikeouts and six walks. Strum and Lehikoinen also had hits, along with Drew Heslip.

For the Rangers, Logan Rowe singled and knocked in a run, Brandon Haller singled, and Andy Jacques walked, stole second and third and scored on Rowe’s single.

Drew Magdzas, Rowe and Kubarek pitched for the Rangers, allowing six hits with four walks and four strikeouts.

Tigers 15, Brewers 3

David Battalo pitched three innings of no-hit ball to pick up the win for the Tigers.

Sam Martinson and Jay Karich led the Tigers offensively.

Aidan Webber singled and knocked in a run for the Brewers. Nick Hesselgrave and Devin Bebber added a hit and run apiece and Austin Slaveiro pitched four innings.
