The Barker’s Island Farmers’ Market continues to operate in spite of flood damage to Marina Drive near the Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center. There is still access to the parking lot on Barker’s Island from the entrance located across from Fairlawn Museum.
“I’ve had calls from people wondering if they can get to the farmers’ market in that location, and the answer is ‘Yes,’” said Sue Ann Dumke, market manager. Customers who visited the market last Saturday said it was not an inconvenience to use the available entrance.
The market is open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon through October.
