SPD issues warning about yard thieves

Thieves are prowling flood victims’ yards, according to the Superior Police Department.

In a Wednesday Facebook post, the department warned there have been numerous reports of theft from the yards of flood victims.

“If you see anyone acting suspicious or going through property in someone’s yard, please call 911,” the post said.

The police department is also asking residents to secure any valuable property.

“I know this is difficult for people at this time but try to keep what you have safe,” the post said.
