The Cable Hayward Area Arts Council (CHARAC) will have a juried art exhibit this summer at the Cable Natural History Museum.
The art exhibit, “The Face of the Sun,” runs in conjunction with the museum’s theme for the year, “Star Power: Energy from the Sun.”
CHARAC is seeking artists who work in any 2D or 3D medium and who reside in northern Wisconsin. Artists may submit up to three images on a CD or by email; from those images the artwork will be selected to be in the exhibit.
After the exhibit is installed the chosen art will be judged and prizes of $100, $75 and $50 will be given to the top three selected.
The images must be sent on a CD or by email by July 14. There is a $25 non-refundable entry fee.
For information, go to www.cablehaywardarts.org and look under events.
“The Face of the Sun” art exhibit opens Aug. 3 with a reception 5-7 p.m. The ending date is Sept. 22. The exhibit can be seen during the museum’s regular hours.
