MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Gov. Scott Walker plans to tour flood damage in far northwestern Wisconsin.

Walker's office says the governor was scheduled to visit the Superior area Tuesday morning but didn't release any details of the trip.

Much of Douglas and Bayfield counties received 3 to 5 inches of rain Tuesday and Wednesday, with some areas getting more than 6 inches. The deluge caused power outages, left several feet of water in University of Wisconsin-Superior basements and closed roads. Walker's office says at least 75 homes in Douglas County sustained anywhere from $2,000 to $4,000 in damages.

Further to the south, rain washed out a 50-foot section of road in Clark County. Three people were killed early Thursday morning after their trucks plunged into the ravine.
