Heroin case continues

A man facing felony charges in conjunction with $40,000 worth of heroin that was found at a Superior residence was bound over for arraignment Wednesday in Douglas County Circuit Court.

Leroy Leneer Calvin, 28, of Superior faces one count of possession with intent to deliver heroin and one count of theft-movable property. Cash bond was set at $10,000 with the conditions that he have no contact with a person named in the complaint and not use or possess any controlled substances or paraphernalia. He is scheduled for arraignment on July 20.

According to the criminal complaint: Calvin was arrested after authorities received a tip that two Superior men were in possession of a large amount of heroin and two handguns at a Superior address. Superior police discovered 107.64 grams of heroin and two guns at the residence. One of the handguns had been reported stolen out of Carlton County. Calvin and another man were arrested after their vehicle was stopped near a residence on the 1700 block of Hughitt Avenue. Calvin had just been arrested on similar drug charges in Duluth earlier this month.
