Two report being shot in drive-by with BB gun
Two Superior residents were shot in the leg with either a BB or pellet gun Friday afternoon.
Two Superior residents were shot in the leg with either a BB or pellet gun Friday afternoon. Both appeared to be drive-by shootings, according to Superior Police reports.
The first shooting was reported at 5:47 p.m. at Belknap Shores. A man was walking his dog down his driveway about 100 feet north of Belknap Street when he was shot in the left thigh. The pellet penetrated his pants and broke skin. No medical attention was necessary. He suspected the shot came from a moving vehicle.
Less than half an hour later, a second shooting was reported at Heritage Park. A woman was shot in the leg while sitting on a park bench overlooking the playground. She heard a pop and was hit in the leg. She suffered a small, superficial wound. Right after being shot, she saw a blue or gray SUV travelling northbound on Hammond that turned east onto North 28th Street.
No suspects were identified in the reports.
