Lake Nebagamon: A village-wide garage sale runs 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Cable: “Drawing Flowers with Pen and Ink” class, instructed by Diana Randolph, runs 1-2:30 p.m. at Big Brook Greenhouse on Highway 63 during the Cable Garden Festival 2012. No drawing experience is necessary. Cost is $12 and the class size limit is 12. Call (715) 798-3191 to register.

Duluth: Terry Degner, author of “My Brave Little Man,” signs copies of his memoir at 1 p.m. at Barnes & Noble in the Miller Hill Mall. The memoir highlights the years he spent in a Duluth orphanage and is rich in history on Duluth’s past, chronicles his early years as he overcame a series of adversities.

Pattison State Park: Edmund Fitzgerald: The Legend Lives by recounts Lake Superior’s most famous shipwreck on the 100th anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic, probably the world’s most famous shipwreck. Call (715) 399-3111.

Superior: The Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center invites everyone to celebrate Father’s Day by treating Dad to a free day exploring the center. In addition to our rare P-38 ‘Lightning’ fighter in Dick Bong’s famous ‘Marge’ markings, Dad will also see other unique items such as a WWII aircraft tug, a Harley Davidson WLA motorcycle, an Allis-Chalmers Snow Tractor, and our latest addition to the exhibits, a German 20mm ‘Flak’ 38 antiaircraft gun, here on temporary loan for the summer. Duluth: The Lake Superior Zoo celebrates “Wild about Dads” from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Fathers and their families can enjoy special animal presentations, family friendly outdoor games, crafts and free hotdogs for the first 200 visitors. While touring the zoo, guests can participate in the “Wild About Animal Dads” trivia game with a chance to win a special gift from the Tiger’s Paw Gift Shop, a seed bomb or a ticket for a ride on the Zoo Train. Superior: The 12th annual All Ford-Powered Car Show runs 1-4 p.m. at the Belknap Plaza, 130 Belknap St. Registration starts at 12:30 p.m. for 14 different classes. Pre-registration cost is $7; all Ford-powered vehicles welcome. Spectators are free.

Superior: Members of the Superior Kiwanis Club read stories to children of all ages in the Children’s Room story boat 10:30-11 a.m. at the Superior Public Library, 1530 Tower Ave. Free.

Superior: The Clef Music Society meets at noon at the home of Bonnie Baker, 5 Badger Drive, for a potluck luncheon. The program, a “Historical Review of the CLEF Music Society” is presented through member reminiscences, followed by a short business meeting conducted by President Nancy Smith.

Duluth: Mended Hearts, a support group for those who have had heart surgery, a stent or heart event and their families meets at 7 p.m. in the Wisconsin room on the first floor of Essentia Health-St. Mary’s, 407 E. Second St.

Duluth: Swedish Midsommar is celebrated at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 45th Avenue East and Colorado Street, at 12:30 p.m. with painting of dala horses, and ladies and girls making flower crowns. At 2 p.m., the program featuring Par and Torbjorn Nesbom, musicians from Sweden, begins. Following the program, everyone decorates the Maypole and dances. Children are encouraged to participate. The day ends with a Swedish Kaffe Kalas (coffee party). New this year, Midsommar tiles designed by Alison Aune will be available for sale.

Lake Nebagamon: Story Time begins held at 1:30 p.m. at the Imogene McGrath Library.
