In these dark days of economic turmoil, is there any generosity and kindness left? Superior, Foxboro, Oliver and South Range proved there is. The 20th annual Letter Carriers Stamp-Out Hunger Food Drive was a success.

We collected 31,110 pounds of food to stock our local food shelves thanks to the generous people of our area. Even in down times, people here will still give to help their neighbor. Not only did people give food, but they also gave cash donations.

And, if that wasn’t enough, people came out and volunteered time and energy while others helped out with advertising the big day.

Many, many thanks to all who gave. Your act of kindness is truly appreciated.

Linda S. Olson,

Superior
