Novaczyk joins ALFA board

Todd Novaczyk, founder, president and chief executive officer of New Perspective Senior Living, owner of Lighthouse of Superior, was elected to the Assisted Living Federation of America board of directors.

Todd Novaczyk, founder, president and chief executive officer of New Perspective Senior Living, owner of Lighthouse of Superior, was elected to the Assisted Living Federation of America board of directors. New Perspective Senior Living owns and operates 11 senior living communities under the name “Lighthouse” in four states that offer a mix of independent, assisted and memory care living choices.

“Todd is an unbending champion of resident-centered senior living; we look forward to his perspective as we advance ALFA’s mission to create the future of senior living,” said Richard Grimes, president and CEO of ALFA.

“Serving on the ALFA board is a great opportunity to share ideas and work with our colleagues to set the vision for senior living communities,” said Novaczyk.

The Novaczyk family founded New Perspective Senior Living as a result of caring for Todd’s wife Sherry’s mother, Betty, who had Alzheimer’s.

“We learned that socialization was a key component to Betty having the best quality of life possible,” said Novaczyk, “But the right level of socialization wasn’t present in the existing care communities.

“We began with that as our focus and as we’ve grown and learned, we’ve begun broadening our model to incorporate an ever higher level of hospitality, nutritious meals, physical therapy and a wide spectrum of engagement opportunities for residents of our Lighthouse communities,” he said. “We believe that is the way of the future as our population ages.”
