Hospital Auxiliary honors volunteers, scholars

Essentia Health-St. Mary’s Hospital Superior Auxiliary holds its annual meeting on June 28 at Barker’s Island Inn in Superior.

Volunteers are recognized for their hours and years of service to the hospital.

Five students who are receiving scholarships will be introduced. All are studying for a career in a health field and each will receive a $1,000 scholarship for the coming school year.

The 2012-13 scholarship winners are Kay Lyn Anderson, nursing, College of St. Scholastica; Marissa Foley, pre-med, physical therapy, College of St. Scholastica; Alison Gondik, pre-med, UW-Superior; Ryan Mieshauer, exercise science, University of Minnesota-Duluth; and Karen Van Overmeiren, nursing, College of St. Scholastica.
