The Superior Youth Organization will once again sponsor the summer baseball camp for players 9–15 years old (Junior Cal, Cal Ripken and Babe Ruth Leagues).
The third annual camp runs from June 11 to July 3 (Monday through Thursdays). Fridays will be rain makeup days (June 15, 22, 29). There is no penalty and no ballplayers will be dropped from the program for missing due to other camps, programs or family vacations. Campers are just asked to attend as often as they can.
Each group will get 90 minutes to improve their baseball skills. The Babe Ruth League (13-15) will practice from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at the Superior High School practice field, while Junior Cal and Cal Ripken Leagues (9–12) will be on the Cal Ripken Fields from 10:20 to 11:50 a.m.
The cost is $35. All practices will be carried out under the direction of SHS varsity baseball coach Don Dembroski. For more information, contact Dembroski at Don.Dembroski@superior.k12.wi.us.
