With nearly a quarter of the vote counted in Wisconsin, national media is projecting Gov. Scott Walker the winner of the election held to recall him.
According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Walker is carrying 60 percent of the vote, a higher percentage than when he was elected in 2010.
In Douglas County, with just four precincts reporting — Oliver, Hawthorne, Poplar and Lakeside — the story is nearly the exact opposite. Democratic challenger Tom Barrett has nearly 60 percent of the vote.
Only in Poplar favored Walker.
