County Highway UU, D closed due to flooding

Several roads remain closed in Douglas County due to damage caused by flooding.

Several roads remain closed in Douglas County due to damage caused by flooding. County Highway D and Highway UU remain closed, according to information from the Wisconsin Emergency Operations Center. In addition, County Highway P is down to one lane. Officials continue to conduct damage assessments. There have been no reports of residents displace as a result of the storms.

Meanwhile, clean up continues following heavy rains in northwestern Wisconsin and Monday’s severe storms in southwest and southeast portions of the state. There were no injuries reported as a result of the severe storms and flooding. Repeated rounds of heavy rain in northwestern Wisconsin have caused several rivers and creeks, including the Mississippi River to rise. However, major flooding is not expected.
