MERCER, Wis. — Iron County small businessman John Sendra announced his candidacy for the 74th Assembly District.
MERCER, Wis. — Iron County small businessman John Sendra announced his candidacy for the 74th Assembly District.
Sendra hopes to join the Republican assembly majority in paving a course for family sustaining jobs in Wisconsin.
“We are facing a leadership crisis in the Northland,” he said. “Our small towns are drying up before our eyes. Rather than offering solutions, Janet Bewley has become a mouthpiece for special interests in Madison. People need economic certainty and family sustaining jobs. I promise to put people before politics.”
Sendra cites the failure of his opponent to support responsible mining, which would have brought hundreds of union construction jobs to the Northland and a boost to subsidiary service industries.
The 74th Assembly District covers Ashland, Bayfield, Iron and Price counties, Cloverland, Brule and Highland in Douglas County, Lenroot and Spider Lake in Sawyer County and Lac du Flambeau in Vilas County.
