Over the next few weeks, America is going to find out the answer to what is more powerful, the people or the money? Wisconsin will answer that question.

That’s what Gov. Chris Christie said at a pro-Walker rally in Madison on April 20.

An interesting question, but who’s money are we talking about? Which people? Was Christie talking about the $13 million in contributions that Walker has received from corporate and right wing special interest groups from all over the country? Groups like the Heritage Foundation and Americans for Prosperity; we know he’s received millions from energy giant Koch Industries.

I know what some of you are thinking, that Christie was talking about all the money that’s been flowing in from organized labor, and to be truthful, yes unions have donated to the cause, as have many individual citizens. So far the Democrats have raised a little less than $2 million, counting contributions from unions, and yet the polls are showing Walker is in a dead heat against whomever that Democrats choose in the election.

Christie is right: We the People of Wisconsin are showing the rest of America that we are more powerful than the corporate special interests that have lined up against us. We the People of Wisconsin are showing America that our state is not for sale.

Corporations have been attacking the middle class for decades, Now, we are fighting back. Wisconsin is the first major battle ground in this fight. We the People must win.
