Duluth Superior film festival kicks off next week

The Duluth Superior Film Festival 2012 runs May 30-June 3 featuring film, music and art. It takes place at various venues throughout Duluth, including Zinema, Sons of Norway Hall, Duluth Tycoons, PROVE Gallery, and Clyde Iron Works, and strives to being an array of local, regional, national and international festival film hits to Duluth.

The Duluth Superior Film Festival 2012 runs May 30-June 3 featuring film, music and art. It takes place at various venues throughout Duluth, including Zinema, Sons of Norway Hall, Duluth Tycoons, PROVE Gallery, and Clyde Iron Works, and strives to being an array of local, regional, national and international festival film hits to Duluth.

Musical performances from Duluth and Minneapolis Buzz bands showcases artists of all kinds.

The official opening night is May 30 at Clyde Iron Works where the screening of “King Curling” takes place. It’s one of the biggest Norwegian hit films in recent years, loaded with humor that the Northland is sure to appreciate. Duluth’s Tangier 57 performs at the post screening reception in the Clyde Iron mezzanine.

A full line-up of films, live music acts and special events will be forthcoming, but will include film screenings at Zinema, Sons Of Norway Hall, music acts at Duluth Tycoons, and gallery receptions at PROVE Gallery.
