Eileen C. Wohlwend

Eileen C. Wohlwend, 72, longtime East End Superior resident, died peacefully on Friday, May 18, 2012, surrounded by her family, following a brief illness.

She was born on Nov. 17, 1939, in Superior to Lloyd and Rosalie (Barnabee) Allen.

She graduated from Cathedral High School. On Oct. 31, 1959, Eileen married Ronald Wohlwend and celebrated 52 years of marriage.

Eileen enjoyed reading, gardening, animals, ceramics but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

In addition to her husband Ronald, Eileen is survived by four daughters. Jeannette (Rick Schacte) Schuler, Superior, Donna (Jim) Keppers, South Range, Karen Wohlwend, South Range, Lisa (Steve) Paine, Superior; one son, Charles Wohlwend, Superior; seven grandchildren, Andrea, Kevin, Joel, Crystal, Chad, Samantha and Troy; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Jean Glonek, Superior, Nancy (Art) Petri, Superior and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a grandson Ryan Wohlwend-Hardie; her parents; five sisters; Roslee, Barbara, Kathleen, Lois and Dorothy and two brothers; Thomas and Richard.

Private family services will be held with Rev. James Tobolski, officiating. Lenroot-Maetzold Funeral Home assisting the family with arrangements.
