Hole in ones

Two aces were recorded at the Poplar Golf Course this week.

On Monday, Carl Mencel aced the 142-yard second hole with a 5-iron. His shot was witnessed by Diane Mencel.

Then on Wednesday, Virgil Nelson, Dick Stariha and Bill Jones Jr. watched as John Deterling perfected the 150-yard sixth hole with an 8-iron.
