Superior: University of Wisconsin-Superior students present their best short film and video projects at the annual Student Film and Video Showcase at 7 p.m. in Manion Theater in Holden Fine and Applied Arts building. Duluth: The Lake Superior College Auto Club holds its annual Dennis Godfrey Memorial Car Show 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. in the lower west parking lot of the college. Free. Activities include a car corral, swap meet, door prizes, music, and auto service and auto body demonstrations. Trophies awarded in 20 different classes.

Duluth: Tamarack Dance Association presents a Third Saturday Dance at Duluth Art Institute, 2229 W. Second St. Guests can make a May crown 2-4 p.m. with a family dance and Maypole from 4 p.m. until a 5:30 p.m. potluck. The barn dance begins at 7 p.m. with music by the Merry Little Band. Superior: The Memorial Day Veterans Council meets at 6 p.m. at Hardee’s. All veterans’ organizations participating in the annual Memorial Day ceremony are encouraged to send a representative.

Superior: The Young Africans, a gifted group of singers, musicians and dancers ages 17-21 who were all once a part of the world-renowned African Children’s Choir, gives a free performance 6:30-8 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 2022 E. Second St.
