PLOVER, Wis. (AP) — It didn't take long. When word spread through social media, hundreds of cars lined up on the streets near a Plover gas station that was selling medium-grade gas for 37 cents a gallon.

But, there was one big problem. The BP gas station advertising the cheap gas Monday afternoon had made a mistake. The gas station manager shut down the pumps. Police were called to keep the peace. Surrounding streets were blocked by the high volume of vehicles.

WAOW-TV says unhappy customers were told to file complaints with the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection.
