This summer, Hartley Nature Center crosses the bridge to Superior with support from the Duluth Superior Area Community Foundation.

The Duluth-based nature center offers two session of its Urban Wilderness Camp in billings Park.

Each week of camp takes place at a different site, featuring public forests of the area.

“We like to show kids that there are plenty of wild places around town to explore and enjoy,” said camp leader, Guy Merolle.

In addition to Billings Park, campers explore Wisconsin Point and the Superior Municipal Forest. Duluth sites include Lester, Chester, and Fairmont parks.

Online registration is open at www.hartleynature.org.
