LETTER: The buck stops with Walker
To the Telegram: Harry Truman had a sign on his desk that read: “The Buck Stops Here.” Well, it is time for Gov. Scott Walker to put a similar sign on his desk.

Harry Truman had a sign on his desk that read: “The Buck Stops Here.”
Well, it is time for Gov. Scott Walker to put a similar sign on his desk. It is time for him as the leader of the Republican Party to put an end to the sleazy scheme to enter fake Democrats in the upcoming Democratic primary. Walker’s followers have been lavish in their praise for him as a courageous leader who is willing to make tough choices.
Now he has an opportunity to take an action that would likely be considered courageous even by many of us who do not support him: That is to publically denounce the running of fake candidates and to use his power to put an end to any such initiative in his party. If he does not do so he, as party leader, is as responsible for the degradation of our primary election process as are those Republicans who actually become fake candidates.
The whole state is watching Walker, and what you do or don’t do will be remembered by the electorate — the buck stops with you.
