5-year-old struck, killed in Beaver Dam

BEAVER DAM, Wis. (AP) — Police say a 5-year-old child was struck and killed on a street in Beaver Dam.
Authorities say the child stepped out from behind a parked vehicle into traffic about 6 p.m. Sunday and was hit by the truck driven by a 43-year-old man. The child was pronounced dead at Beaver Dam Community Hospital.
Officials tell the Beaver Dam Daily Citizen that alcohol or speed do not appear to be factors in the accident.
