UWS scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to win the opening game.

The first run came in on Jeff Miller's two-out RBI single. The tying and winning runs came in when Wyatt Soderquist stole third and and scored easily when Platteville threw the ball into the left field. Miller followed Soderquist all the way from first base and scored when the ball got away from the catcher.

Bobby Tyndall picked up the win in relief of Kyle Gauger.

The game started on Saturday, but was called because of rain with UWP leading 4-1 in the third inning.

Game two is in progress with UWS leading 3-1 in the seventh inning.
