The Drummond Lumberjacks rallied past the Solon Springs baseball team for a 6-4 victory Thursday evening in Drummond.
The game was tied 3-3 after two innings when Drummond scored unearned runs in the fourth and fifth innings and then added an insurance run on a sac fly in the sixth.
Solon’s final run came with a bases-loaded walk to Logan Long in the fifth inning.
Each team had four hits. Cody Utyro had two of the Eagles’ hits, including a RBI single in the first inning. Logan Long and Caleb Utyro added a single each.
Phillip Larson plated the Eagles’ second run in the first inning with a groundout and Kevin Zamzow walked with the bases loaded in the second.
The Eagles host Northwestern and Nashwauk-Keewatin Saturday with games beginning at 10 a.m.
Solon Springs plays Northwestern at 10 a.m. and N-K at 2 p.m. Northwestern and N.K. play the noon game.
