An old route for Superior’s annual Fourth of July parade is about to become its new route.
With construction planned for the Blatnik and Bong bridges over the next few years, followed by planned reconstruction of Belknap Street, organizers of the annual event were forced to find a new location.
The new route is one the 4th of July planning committee used before, said the committee’s co-chairman Dave Stannard.
He said participants in the parade will line up on Catlin Avenue near Superior High School and the parade will head west from there to Hammond Avenue before heading south to Superior Middle School.
For information on entering Superior’s annual parade, call Dave or Fran Stannard at (715) 394-9673 or go to www.superior4thjuly.com.
