Two women reported having their buttocks grabbed by an unknown man on a bike along the Osaugie Trail.

According to Superior Police reports, the first woman reported being assaulted at 1:07 p.m. along the 3500 block of the trail. She was jogging southbound on the trail wearing headphones when a man on a bike came up behind her and grabbed her buttocks. He passed her and continued south.

Another woman called to report a similar incident that took place at 11:40 a.m. She was jogging from Wisconsin Point into town along the Osaugie Trail when she noticed a man wearing all black ride past on bike. She too was wearing headphones and did not hear the man come up behind her on his bike.

He grabbed her buttock, road off on his bike for half a block, then stopped and said “Sorry.” He then biked toward the trailer park on the trail.

Both women gave the same description — a short white male in his 30s with a stocky build, brown hair and a mustache or goatee. He was wearing black clothing and riding a BMX-style bike.

According to the report, if the suspect is found he could be charged with two counts of fourth-degree sexual assault.
