LETTER: Because of you, we’re Superior

To the Telegram:

I would like to congratulate Warren Bender, Denise MacDonald, Bob Finsland, and most of all, Mick MacKenzie on your successful City Council elections.

Also, thank you to the people who had confidence and trust in what I am helping with, being your councilor in the 1st District.

Four of us ran unopposed in this year’s election and I am hoping it is because you have taken stock in your councilor, are satisfied with your representation and not because you don’t want to be involved in public service.

I also want to thank Bonnie Baker who did want to be involved in our governmental process. Between Bonnie and Mick, they reached out to over 700 residents of the 9th District.

Over the last year I served as president of your council and although having to make some risky decisions, we have reached a point in history as to where this city is going. Our mayor and staff, his economic development team, the department heads and your council are all working toward a superior city.

The potential developers interested in bringing their companies have increased substantially. As you drive around town look at the city, the new businesses, the investments to our community and remember because all of you being Superior, We Are Superior.

So thank you again to all of you that voted to be represented by some of the finest people that I have been fortunate to work with.
