Two men suspected in a string of burglaries in Ashland and Bayfield counties have been arrested by the Bayfield County Sheriff’s Office following an extensive investigation.

Twenty-nine-year-old Jeremy Foss and 29-year-old Eugene Grahn, both of Ashland, have been charged by Bayfield County District Attorney Craig Haukaas with 66 criminal counts ranging from criminal damage to property to felony burglary, according to a release from Chief Deputy Dan Clark with the sheriff’s office.

The arrests are the result of a cooperative investigation by the Bayfield County Sheriff’s Office, the Iron River police Department and the Ashland County Sheriff’s Office. Evidence was obtained from a number of business and residential burglaries in Ashland and Bayfield counties as well as Iron River. Multiple search warrants executed in the city of Ashland in late January led to the recovery of property stolen in 13 burglaries – one in Iron River, two in Ashland County and 10 in Bayfield County.
