STILLWATER, Minn. (AP) — A 20-year-old St. Croix Falls man accused of assaulting a Washington County deputy last week has been arrested in Wisconsin.
The Washington County Sheriff's Office says the man was arrested near Luck, Wis., by the Polk County Sheriff's Office.
The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports (http://bit.ly/I4M2XA) the man is in custody in Polk County on possible charges of fourth-degree felony assault.
Officials say the deputy was responding to a report of a suspicious vehicle in Stillwater Township on Thursday night when the man punched and kicked the deputy, then ran away. The deputy suffered minor injuries.
