The Superior Jaycees announced the 15th annual Gitchee Gumee Brewfest, a premiere craft and micro beer-tasting event in the Twin Ports, runs 4-8 p.m. April 14 at Wessman Arena.

“The Brewfest is the Jaycees largest fundraiser of the year, and all proceeds go back to the community. We hope our community members will join us in supporting this event,” said Shauna Porter, president of the Jaycees.

What started as a small gathering of about a dozen brewers and 200 attendees at Barker’s Island Inn in 1998, has grown into a marquee destination for regional brewers who wish to showcase new and existing products.

The 15th annual event is expected to draw more than 30 brewers who will feature over 120 microbrews. From pale ales to stouts, from old standards to exotic beers, there promises to be something for every palate.

Tickets for the event are available at the Shack Liquor Store, Vintage Italian Pizza and online at www.twinportsnightlife.com.

General admission tickets are $25, while VIP tickets are $75.

All designated drivers receive free admission. All attendees, including designated drivers must be age 21 or older.
