LETTER: Recall-mania: Another form of voter fraud

After reading Peter W. Johnson’s letter on Voter ID fraud and his rant about Mike Nichols, I felt compelled to write about stealing elections.

Now from the tone of Mr. Johnson’s letters in the past, I would bet he signed the recall papers against Gov. Scott Walker.

I would also bet he is upset there is a recall motion against Bob Jauch because Bob is a Democrat.

Now you want to talk about stealing elections, this recall nonsense is just that, stealing elections. Any elected official — and I mean anyone — Republican or Democrat, unless they commit a crime in office should be allowed to serve their elected term in office since they were elected by the majority.

That election should not be taken away by some disgruntled folks because they did not get their way.

So suppose Mr. Johnson did sign the recall petition. He would be is taking away my vote and the votes of many who voted for that elected official.

Wisconsin really needs to address the recall laws and make them so any one with a frivolous agenda cannot start a recall unless it is warranted — such as a crime committed in office.

Mr. Johnson talks about being disenfranchised — well so is trying to steal the vote by forcing an election on officials for any reason just because you’re upset with the way things are going. You’re not happy with someone’s vote, get them out of office during the regular election cycle. Do not force an election that cost the taxpayers millions and tries to steal an election.
