Celebrate children this month

Everyone is invited to “Celebrate Children Day,” which begins at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Douglas County Government Center atrium.

Everyone is invited to “Celebrate Children Day,” which begins at 10 a.m. Wednesday in the Douglas County Government Center atrium. There will be presentations by elementary school children, District Attorney Dan Blank, Rep. Nick Milroy, D-South Range and Doreen Wehmas, intake and assessment supervisor for the Douglas County Health and Human Services Department. The “Friend of Children” award will be handed out and Douglas County Board Chairman Doug Finn and Superior Mayor Bruce Hagen will proclaim April National Child Abuse Prevention Month.
