RIETBROCK, Wis. (AP) — Sheriff's officials say dozens of cows were killed in a Marathon County fire that destroyed a barn.
Firefighters from Edgar, Athens and Harmburg were called to the fire about 10 p.m. Sunday in the town of Rietbrock. Firefighters say the barn was engulfed in flames when they arrived.
Sheriff's Lt. Dale Wisnewski tells the Wausau Daily Herald the fire killed 73 Holsteins.
