MADISON, Wis. (AP) — Wisconsin elections officials have ordered a recall vote for Republican Lt. Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch.

The Government Accountability Board ordered the vote Friday after nearly 809,000 signatures were submitted on recall petitions.

The board earlier approved a recall vote against Republican Gov. Scott Walker.

The vote will be May 8 unless a primary is necessary. That would push the general election to June 5.

Multiple Democrats have said they are running for the spots, which make primaries likely.

Both Walker and Kleefisch were targeted for recall following passage last year of a law they backed that effectively ended collective bargaining rights for public workers.

Four Republican state senators are also being targeted. Those elections would be on the same dates.
