Ashland County makes no-till drill available for soil, water protection
The Ashland County Land and Water Conservation Department has purchased and made available, an eight-foot Truax no-till drill with grant funding from the Wisconsin Coastal Management Program.
The Ashland County Land and Water Conservation Department has purchased and made available, an eight-foot Truax no-till drill with grant funding from the Wisconsin Coastal Management Program.
Additional financial and technical support has come from the NOAA Coastal Zone Management Act, Land and Water Conservation Departments and Committees of Ashland and Iron Counties, the Great Lakes Protection Fund administered by the WDNR, University of Wisconsin Extension and the Pri-Ru-Ta Resource Conservation and Development Council.
The no-till drill is to be used to protect soil and water quality while improving pastures and cropland efficiency on the farm, by agricultural producers in and around the surrounding area of the Lake Superior watershed of Wisconsin.
