Plans are underway for the annual Relay for Life for Cancer. Last year was a huge success, exceeding the $81,000 goal and raising more than $100,000.
This year’s goal is a little higher. Thanks to the support of Relay participants, the American Cancer Society is able to work every day to save lives from cancer by helping people stay well and get well by finding cures and fighting back.
We have programs and services in our community to help people dealing with cancer through every step of a cancer experience. And best of all the help is free.
The Relay is the largest funder of cancer research in the United States and has funded researchers who have gone on to win the Nobel Prize, science’s highest honor.
When a person participates in a Relay for Life event, they help the American Cancer Society fight back against cancer in every community. For more information call (800) 227-2345 or visit www.cancer.org.
