Family: Married to Ann Marie (Pioro) for 33 years, two daughters, one son, four grandchildren.

Employment: Worked for Burlington Northern Railroad out of high school, in the food services and sales industries, currently a sous chef at Essentia Health-St. Mary’s in Duluth.

Education: Superior Senior High School graduate, attended the University of Wisconsin-Superior and graduated from Duluth Technical School.

Government/Civic experience and organizations: Resident of Itasca since 1977, County Board since 1988; Superior City Council from 1990 to 1992; attended numerous Superior Days

Name: Kathryn McKenzie

Address: 202 N. 58th St., Superior

Family: Married more than 37 years to Daniel McKenzie, one son, one granddaughter.

Employment: Retired teacher and counselor; taught mathematics and English, and counseled in public high schools, college, vocation and technical schools and universities; I taught in the Peace Corps in the Philippines.

Education: Bachelor of Science in mathematics and English secondary education; Master’s degree in counseling; certified for mediation all of coursework taken for a mediation certificate

Government/civic experience and organizations: For the past 20 years with 2 years off in between I have been elected to the Douglas County Board; member and president of the Douglas County League of Women Voters; member and president of Delta Kappa Gamma, St. Louis River Alliance; Northwoods Women in Science; alternate for Great Lakes Bi-National Forum.
